JUST ONE THING

Your JUST ONE THING to boost your metabolism

Increase your NEAT

What is NEAT?

N.E.A.T. stands for Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis.

While the name may sound complicated, the concept is simple.

It’s the energy you burn from everyday activities like walking, standing, gardening, dancing, and even cleaning.

Adding more non-exercise movement to your day can increase your daily metabolic output by over 10%!

Simple Ways to Increase NEAT:

- Take a daily walk.

- Set a step goal using a fitness tracker.

- Just keep moving!!For example, I like to do a workout (strength or yoga), take an evening walk, and stretch before bed.

Need a quick, fun routine you can do anywhere, anytime?

Quick, Do-Anywhere Low Impact Full Body Strengthening Routine

  1. Bent-over W’s - 10 reps (Squeeze your shoulder blade muscles!)
  2. Elevated Push-ups - 6-10 reps (Focus on holding a firm plank throughout)
  3. Side Split Squats - 6-10 reps/side, alternating (Sit down & back into glutes & thigh muscles)
  4. Bridges - 10 reps (Squeeze your glutes to lift!)

Extra Tip: Perform this whole circuit of exercises 3-5 times through. Take minimal rest breaks between exercises, rest for 30-60 seconds between sets. This keeps your heart rate up, increases your breathing rate, and boosts the metabolic impact of your workout.
